Again that's it for me now I'm not going to bother with Boba Fetts helmet as it just looks to plain for my liking very bland?. However the Tie Fighter helmet is a very close second and has alot more detail on this model too! I was surprised about the build as I thought it would be basically the same as the Stormtrooper one just with tubes but how wrong I was though considering the same guy from Lego designed them both. The detail is second to none Lego have done themselves proud and pulled out all the stops in the design! For me personally though I still prefer the Stormtrooper Helmet if I had to pick just one of them out of the two I think it's more iconic and the white colouring just pops. The construction of the helmet was as follows: 1)The left and right head hemisphere's have been vac-formed separately and then glued to the Mohawk strip 2) the Mohawk forehead detailing/arrow part has then been glued to the Mohawk strip to both strengthen and characterise it.
After finishing the Tie Fighter helmet it looks really good in all its glory I am not disappointed what so ever. Anyone know of where I can get a better quality. I've tried searching other sites for fanmade ones, but a lot of the TIE-specific sites are dead (omega wing). Having just completed the Stormtroopers helmet only the other day I decided to order the Tie Fighter one because they are really that good trust me! It took me approximately 5.5 hours to complete (I'm not the worlds fastest Lego builder lol) about half an hour longer than when I built the Stormtrooper Helmet this is due to the extra brick count etc. Been trying to track down a TIE Fighter Pilot helmet for a costume I want to make, but all I'm finding for less than 300 are rubies helmets.
